2016 Christmas Sew Along… Part 3

Has everyone finished Part 2 block 1?   I’m making an other one so I can join you all. This is my block 1.

Today we will be working on Block 2. This block is a 12″ finished block. We will make 6 blocks.

Fabric and Numbering Chart:

Block 2 Patch count and Lettering Chart:

*This patch count is to make one block*

Flying Geese Unit Assembly:

Each block will have 4 flying geese(FG) Use the already assembled Flying Geese  you made in part 2. 24 in total.

Sew a Color 3 Patch A to each side of the geese units. This unit should measure 2 1/2″ x 8 1/2″  Make 31  set aside all but 12  for this block . 

Sew a Color 2 Patch A to each side of the geese units. This unit should measure 2 1/2″ x 12 1/2″  . Make 19 this block uses 12, save the rest  of both units to be used in Part 5

Sew the short units to each side of the Color 6 Patch C

Sew the long units to the top and bottom of the assembled units. Trim this block to 12 1/2″ x 12 1/2″
