Looking back at a busy September.

Image may contain: outdoorLeaves are changing.. winters coming which means more time for quilting as temperatures drop.

1st week of september was pretty busy getting my run in order..i have one new child that i had to change the run for so that took a while figuring out which way would save time or km.  I got that all figured out now. 1st day went well and we had lovely sunrise to start us off this year. This picture was taken by a bus mom.

Took in a paint night with mom at Exanda’s best friend’s house we did a northern lights portrait acrylic painting.20190906_211854

I did work on a Quilt Fairy Godmother paper pieced project as a change once i finished my VS sampler.. it was a fun and challenging project.20190911_104844

Pins and pine needles guild has started for the year our 1st sewing day we made Stick horses to be donated to the senior circle for them to play a lifesize steeplechase race game with them.  I made the Zebra at home and printed out the pattern for the guild..then taught the girls how to make these as i made the beige horse..   We found it was way quicker to make them using stuffies from the 2nd hand store to make the stick animals. I will be making an other one for my grandson but it will be a moose.. Ill try to remember to make a tutorial on it..

This year our charity challenge we were given a FQ, color , Shape like last year.. I received a speckled fabric, color yellow and shape square.. using the leftovers from VS sampler i made my quilt.  and got a second one out of the leftovers.

Last weekend was the annual pins and pine needles fall retreat. I took 9 quilts with me to have bound and managed to get 7 completed.

Purchased a panel to break the monotony of binding.. I had real fun making this.. The panel is Ooh La La apron panel by Riley Blake. Its a lingerie panel that shoes bustier and panties.  I turned mine into a modest apron by adding a upper apron and lots of Ruffles.

Last week i was able to quilt the charity challenge quilts and one for a customer.

This weekend I loaded the VS Sampler on my long arm and started quilting it..20190928_143326

Next post will show you how i quilted the blocks. I will be using arch and straight rulers with allot of Free motion quilting.
